Hello!

I'm Laura (pronounced the Catalan way Laeoo-rae). I come from Barcelona, and now live in Portland, Oregon. I am a scientist, a yoga teacher, and...

I draw, a lot. I make realistic drawings in graphite, surreal scenes with ink, watercolour backgrounds and patterns, and I like to experiment with digitally combining my original drawings, paintings, and photographs to create completely new images.  

 

I have been drawing non-stop since 2013, when during an unproductive day of grant writing, I tried drawing the face in the photograph hanging over my desk. The process of drawing was exhilarating and mood changing.
